I always liked the idea of having a fish tank in the house but after my two unsuccessful attempts at keeping Siamese Fighting Fish (Betta) alive, I gave up. There is no need for trial and error when it comes to a living creature. Fast forward a couple of years and my wife got me a …..Betta for Valentines Day. This time I went the proper route and got a nice tank, a filter, and a heater (I kept reading I didn’t need those accessories). The fish is still alive and well and it even shares the space with three other smaller species of fish without any issues. I thought I was done with aquatic life for my apartment but the Pulse 80 Jellyfish Aquarium is pretty damn cool.
Lots of people have aquariums with fish but how many actually have jellyfish in their homes? Not many I bet! The Pulse 80 has been designed from the ground up specifically for jellyfish providing not only the perfect living conditions for these beautiful creatures but the tank also makes for an impressive display with its built-in illuminated color changing LED system. Apparently there are 640 thousand different colors so the display will never get boring.

The tank has gone through extensive testing and is made of high-quality, scratch resistant, cast acrylic. The thought of keeping something as delicate as jellyfish as a pet is daunting but thankfully the system is intended just for this purpose. The 23 gallon tank aquarium features a built-in three stage filter system utilizing chemical, mechanical, and biological filtration to maintain the water at optimum levels for the jellyfish. The system also has external connections meaning you can connect an external filter, chiller, inline heater, or connect more than one aquarium to the same filter system.
The tank is designed for plug and play and maintenance is actually more simple than your traditional aquarium for fish. The system has been on the market for three years now and has managed to house 13 different species of jellyfish to date. The Pulse 80 Jellyfish Aquarium is available in black or white. The only downside to the system is its steep price of $1,299.99. For more details, check out the Cubic Aquarium.
