It’s no secret that when it comes to supercars, I love pretty much all of them. One of the exceptions to that rule is the Lamborghini Gallardo; I’m not a fan of it. There is something about the car, it just looks very plain. I am however, a fan of the soon to be released Gallardo by Amari Supercars, a UK based used supercar dealer. Amari has started their own supercar tuning division called Amari Design and the car is called Lamborghini Gallardo Invidia Edition.
Amari Design upgraded the 5.0 liter V10 engine to produce 740 horsepower, up from the stock 513 hp; no details were provided about what exactly was done to the engine to achieve the massive horsepower numbers. Amari claims all of the tuning took place in-house by their Amari Service garage headed by master-mechanic John Greatorex, who, according to the company is the UK’s top 5 supercar mechanics. I’m not sure how they came to that conclusion; did they have a competition or something?
The best part of the Gallardo Invidia Edition is the bodywork, which looks way better than stock. This is how Lamborghini should have designed the car in the first place; it looks a lot more aggressive. The Gallardo receives a re-designed front bumper with a carbon fiber lip, re-styled rear bumper with a carbon fiber diffuser and a carbon fiber rear-spoiler. On the sides the car gets wider fender flares and quarter panels in the front and rear, and a set of side skirts to complete the sporty look.
The Amari Design Lamborghini Gallardo Invidia Edition is currently in the development phase and will be available for sale in April. No word yet on price for the package.
