Now and again, I like to crack open a Redbull, pour in a few ounces of my favorite potato vodka, and sit down to enjoy this energizing vodka Redbull cocktail.
It’s one of my favorite drinks when I’m gaming or working on creative projects because the caffeine in the Redbull really helps to keep me focused. Plus, it’s just a really delicious way to enjoy vodka!
So… it’s actually a cocktail?
Despite what you may have heard, a vodka and Redbull is not merely a mixed drink, but instead a full-blown cocktail. The reasons are complicated and many – well beyond the scope of this article – but rest assured, I’m right, and all the people that laugh in your face when you call this a cocktail, are wrong.
And if we want to get technical, it’s both. A mixed drink is simply any drink that combines two or more ingredients, while a cocktail is a specific type of mixed drink that contains alcohol.
And it tastes good?
Yes, a vodka Redbull is an incredibly delicious way to drink vodka. The sweetness of the Redbull pairs perfectly with the smoothness of the vodka, and the result is a refreshing and slightly addicting beverage.
If you’ve never tried one before, I highly recommend giving it a shot – just be careful not to overdo it, as the caffeine can be a bit much if you’re not used to it.
But is it safe?
And if you’re wondering whether Redbull is bad for you and if it’s even worse to mix it with vodka, forget about all that for a moment and remember: it tastes absolutely delicious. Now, how do you mix a vodka Redbull?
- Chill your favorite drinking glass in the freezer so it’s nice and cold.
- Crack open a can of Redbull (also cold) and pour roughly half into the glass.
- Pour in roughly 2oz of vodka.
- Stir with a very tiny spoon until mixed.
- Enjoy.
