How To Knock A First Date Out Of The Park During Covid-19

Yes, we all know that things are different now and nothing is even close to being normal. And won’t be for some time to come. But, you’re still a romantic and are looking for love.

Well, it may be more of a challenge than ever due to the Covid restrictions, but finding the love of your life is still possible. The bright side is that this may actually make it easier to really get to know somebody before even going out on a first date.

In fact, this could be the perfect opportunity to really find that special someone. After all, when things get tough the tough get going so the ones that haven’t decided to wait for their chance are out looking so you should be too.

In this article, I will give you some interesting ideas on how to date during the times of Covid-19.

1 – Make a restaurant quality dinner

Back in the days before Covid, you likely would have taken your dae to a fancy restaurant to impress her and show off your good taste. And usually it was not long after you first swiped right.

These days, it is more likely that you will be chatting online and even doing some video chatting for a while before the first date. In other words, you are pretty comfortable at this point.

Since most restaurants are not the most cozy place to be right now if they’re even open, you may be able to have a romantic dinner at your place and cook her a fancy meal. And in the process, you will even save a few dollars. And you are in total control of the menu. How many restaurants are offering an A5 Japanese Wagyu Taster Flight?

2 – Have a picnic

If you think it comes off as coming on too strong to invite her to your place, then plan a picnic. It’s actually a pretty ideal way to stay socially distant to eat outside so you are not risking spreading any germs by sitting inside your house.

And it can still be a good way to show off by getting some quality foods that can be brought on the go. Some gourmet panini or some sliced prosciutto with a bottling of sparkling wine is sure to set the right tone.

Just find a beautiful location that doesn’t have a lot of people crowding around and you can make it a very memorable first date.

3 – Go on a hike

To be honest, I think this is a great first date idea even if there were no pandemic going on. Getting out in nature when you are an outdoorsy type is a great way to see how compatible you are.

Hiking together may not afford you too much time to talk to each other, but that is what all those hours of video chatting was for. Now, you can share your passion for the outdoors and hopefully share a bond that will last a lifetime.

4 – Go on a scavenger hunt

It can be quite fun to be a tourist in your own city. You may think there isn’t much going on there or at least nothing interesting. When you do a scavenger hunt, it can open your eyes to what your city actually has to offer.

And doing this can still keep you socially distanced and away from the crowds if you plan it out right.

The way to each have a set of landmarks or places that need to be found. So, you create one for her and she creates one for you so that way it can be tailored to your specific area as opposed to a generic one that you would find online.

5 – Go to a drive in movie

What’s old is new again and drive-in movies are making a huge comeback. In the comfort of your own car you can keep your distance from other movie goers and still enjoy a night out for a movie.

They are also great because you don’t have to worry about talking during the movie so you can add your own running commentary on the flick if you think it’s a dud and still enjoy the night.

Conclusion

The great thing about dating at this time is how it makes you get creative. Instead of just simply dinner and drinks, you can do something offbeat that can really set the tone for any possible relationship.

If this virus has taught us anything, it’s that life is full of surprises and some of them can be quite nasty. Take advantage of our time above ground by doing something special and find your true love in the process.
