You know it’s a good day at Unfinished Man “headquarters” when we discover a newly tuned Range Rover Defender. This time the Defender is tuned by a British company called Prindiville Design. Only 25 of these individually numbered Defenders will be produced.
The Limited Edition Prindiville Land Rover Defender is based on the current model Defender 90 short wheelbase. The 2.4 liter turbo-diesel engine now produces 190 horsepower, up from 122, and 339 pound-feet of torque. The increase in power comes courtesy of a high-flow intercooler and a stainless steel exhaust system. The “sprint” to 60 mph now takes 10 seconds vs. 15.9 seconds in stock form.
Prindiville offers customers a choice of an automatic or a tiptronic transmission, customers can opt to keep the stock 6-speed manual. Other upgrades include a performance suspension handling package and a performance braking system.
The exterior is upgraded with bespoke matte or metallic paint, 18” five spoke metallic black alloy wheels, and front and rear LED lights. The interior gets Italian leather covered sports seats, noise insulation, and an entertainment system with MP3 and Bluetooth connectivity.
The Limited Edition Prindiville Land Rover Defender has a starting price of £52,000 or about $82,000 US at today’s exchange rate.
