The new for 2012 Hamilton Intra-Matic watch takes its design inspiration from watches from the 1960’s however, with a size that’s a lot bigger than the ones found “back in the day” and in tune with the times.
The Hamilton Intra-Matic watch is available in 38 mm and 42 mm cases and features a retro look with a very clean dial that’s covered with a domed sapphire crystal. The dial features long, lightly curved minute and hour hands and 12 very thin hour indices. The date window is placed at the 6 o’clock position opposite a retro Hamilton logo. The Intra-Matic reminds me a bit of the Orient 60th Anniversary watch, a watch I’m a big fan, which is also a retro-inspired design.
The Hamilton Intra-Matic watches can be had in a variety of combinations. Customers can choose between 38mm and 42mm cases in stainless steel or yellow PVD, choose black or silver dials, and choose a black leather strap or a stainless steel bracelet. The watches are powered by a 2892-2 self-winding automatic movements with 42-hour power reserve, the movement is visible through a glass covered case-back. The watches are priced at $945 for the 42mm version and $845 for the 38mm version, but you can get them for up to 25% off at amazon.com.
I’m a big fan of retro watches and these new Intra-Matic watches are definitely something I’d consider buying.
