Porsche Design studio was founded by Ferdinand Porsche 40 years ago, over the last four decades the luxury brand has produced some very striking products such as watches, clothes, eyewear, and even kitchen knives.
The first product under the Porsche Design brand was the black Chronograph I wristwatch, which was followed by the introduction of their sunglasses line. To celebrate the brand’s 40th anniversary, Porsche Design has created a limited edition set called the “40Y of Iconic Products” which includes a watch and a pair of sweet looking aviator sunglasses.
The watch in the set is a Porsche Design Chronograph I (P’6540 Heritage Chronograph) from the “Iconic Style” collection. The watch comes in a matte silver grey case made out of titanium, measuring 40.5 mm. The dial is black with white numbers and hour markers. The dial has three chronograph sub-dials, a tachymeter, and “40Y”on it and features red chronograph hands. The dial is covered with an anti-reflective coated sapphire crystal and is water resistant to 100 meters. The watch is powered by an automatic ETA Valjoux 7750 movement with 25 jewels and 48 hour power-reserve.
The sunglasses (P’8478) come in a matching matte grey frame, the inside of the frame is red, the same color as the red chronograph hands on the watch.
The 40Y of Iconic Products set comes in a special collector’s box with an individually numbered “40Y” plaque.
