The release of Assassin’s Creed 3 is looming ever closer on the horizon, and Ubisoft’s marketing efforts are going at full bore. We’ve seen plenty of great footage these past few months, but a surprising lack of high quality screenshots. So today, I’m here to change that.
These newAC3 screenshots look good; in fact, they look really good. I don’t know how they managed to squeeze more life out of the engine, but they have. The environments look beautiful, and it’s exciting to see Connor causing all manner of mayhem as he climbs, stalks, and cuts down his red and blue coated enemies.
Fighting, Climbing, and Stalking
Connor is obviously a skilled climber, but as for his ship sailing abilities? Perhaps not so much. I don’t think that little voyage went quite how he wanted it to go.
This really is a lovely looking scene. Between the lighting, the rainfall, and the skulking of our dual-wielding native friend, well… consider me impressed. I’m guessing Connor is just preparing to jump down and wish them a safe remainder of their journey.
I bet this blue coat is wondering how he keeps getting roped into these shitty assignments.
You know… this would be rather unpleasant I think. It’s one thing to get stabbed or shot, but another thing entirely to have both done at the same time.
Oh my, is this a young Connor we see here? This is from his early days as a forest life-guard. The pay wasn’t great, but he had a lot less people shooting at him.
Such a happy winter wonderland. I wonder if we’ll be able to build our own snow people? Better yet, can we hide inside of a snowman and pop out with our hidden blade as soldiers pass by? A man can dream.
Assassin’s Creed 3 Release Date
As I mentioned earlier, you don’t have to wait much longer to finally get your hands on the game. You’ll be able to play it on Tuesday, October 30th for Xbox360 and PS3, or you can wait until November 23rd to play it on the best platform of all: the PC. As per usual, PC gamers are getting shafted with the release date. At least we don’t have to wait half a year this time… I guess that’s something.
