I greatly enjoy unique and interesting art, and I most certainly have a passion for awesome video games like Dishonored. Combine those two things, and you have salt art by the very talented Bashir Sultani.
Quite some time ago I posted up a salt art drawing (painting? piece?) of Ezio Auditore from Assassin’s Creed 2 that Bashir Sultani created, and his work has only improved since then. I find this latest Corvo piece even more detailed than Bashir’s earlier work, and the video production values seem higher too. There’s just that little extra bit of polish applied, and it really shows.

After watching this, I’m tempted to try creating some salt art of my own. I was thinking that I could even sell my pieces here on the site. I would create giant salt art murals of myself posing nude set against exotic locations, and then sell them to people. The only conceivable problem here is transportation… I already know that demand will far exceed my limited production abilities. Fine art takes time, okay?

The man has done tons of these things… almost disgusting amounts in fact, and they’re all very impressive. I can’t imagine where he finds the time or inclination to do them, but the world is a better place because of it. Well, at the very least it’s a much saltier place because of it.
Dishonored (the game that Bashir based this particular piece on) hits store shelves on October 9th, 2012 for PC, Xbox360, and Playstation 3. If you’re interested in learning more about it, the official Dishonored website is probably a pretty good place to get started.
