We write quite often about cars and watches because we like to think of ourselves as car fanatics and watch geeks. So today I thought I’d bring you an item that covers both those topics; the Ferrari F1 2006 Carbon Brake Disc Clock.
The clock is made out of an actual brake disc from one of the Ferrari 248 F1 cars that were used in the Formula 1 championship in the year 2006, the cars won 9 races and got 4 pole positions and came in second place in the drivers’ and constructors’ championship. The carbon disc is mounted on an 18” x 18” carbon fiber plaque and the disc is signed by Michael Schumacher (Ferrari driver at the time), Jean Todt (executive director Scuderia Ferrari), and Luca Di Montezemolo (CEO of Ferrari).
The middle of the clock features a genuine Ferrari Shield, found on fenders of Ferrari road cars, that has been drilled to make room for the hands. The clock is powered by a quartz movement and requires one AA battery. The Ferrari F1 2006 Carbon Brake Disc Clock comes with a certificate of authenticity and is priced at an F1-like price of $10,000 and is probably aimed at the man that has everything and not average guys like us.
