Here’s another beautiful timepiece by Swiss watchmakers, Zenith. The watch is called the Zenith Captain Winsor Annual Calendar Boutique Edition and is a collaboration with Musée International d’Horlogerie (MIH); the watch will be presented at BaselWorld 2013. Zenith had previously collaborated with MIH to produce this watch without the “Boutique Edition” tacked onto the name; the two watches are very similar with the exception of a new dial and the hour markers.
The watch has a very simple design and looks extremely elegant. The case measures 42 mm wide and 13.88 mm thick and comes in either stainless steel or 18k rose gold. The gold watch comes with a white dial and the stainless steel version comes with a silver dial. The hands and Arabic numeral hour makers are made out of faceted rhodium, they’re gold plated on the 18k rose gold watches.
The dial showcases the annual calendar, much cleanly compared to a perpetual calendar. The day and month windows are placed at the 3 o’clock position and the date window is placed at the 6 o’clock position. The front and back of the watch are covered with AR coated sapphire crystal and the watch is attached to brown alligator leather strap with either stainless steel or rose gold triple-folding clasp.
The Zenith Captain Winsor Annual Calendar Boutique Edition watch is powered by in-house caliber El Primero 4054 automatic movement, beating at 36,000 bph, with a 50 hour power reserve. The watch will be available at Zenith boutiques.
