Here’s another great read viewing for car lovers (recall our previous post on some great “readings”, the Top Gear book), this book is more specific to Porsche lovers. The Porsche 911 Book: 50th Anniversary Edition celebrates; you guessed it, the 50th anniversary of the iconic rear-engine sports car from Germany. The car was not always known as the 911, it was called the “901” when it was first introduced, but thankfully, Peugeot had patented the number “0” in the middle of car model numbers. I say thankfully, because 901 just doesn’t have the same cool factor as “911”.
The Porsche 911 Book is the perfect book for car fans and those of us that prefer to look at pictures rather than read words, the book is filled with pictures of all the models from 1963 to the all-new 2013 Porsche 911 (code named 991).
The cars are photographed by the famous automotive photographer René Staud, and there are over 300 pages for you to drool over. Head on over to amazon.com to pick up your copy for $84.99.
