You may find this difficult to believe, but some people think I’m a bit of a disgusting pervert.
Unfortunately, they’re probably right. When I see the word “POV”, well… let’s just say I’m not imagining surfers, mountain bikers, or in this case, a talented Traceur. But no, that’s not what I’m here to show you today. If you’re as depraved as me, well… you’ll just have to look elsewhere for that thing. What I can offer you, though, is some amazing first person footage of one James Kingston bounding around Cambridge, UK.
James Kingston of Ampisound
I don’t usually bother with warnings – you’re probably a big old grownup after all – but some (weak people) may find this footage slightly nauseating. The camera is mounted to the fellows head or chest… it’s slightly fish-eye, and he’s a ways up in the air. Well, you’ll see. If you vomit, don’t blame me.
I’ve written about Parkour before, that’s nothing new… I get hot and bothered every time I see it. What I’m wondering, though, is if any of you guys actually train it? Surely one of you must! If so, leave us a comment below with your absolute favorite all time Parkour video, and I’ll share it here on the site. Preferably something that’s actually impressive and technical, as opposed to someone just plummeting to their death, or breaking their hip. It’s always funny to laugh at other people’s misfortunes, but let’s keep that to a minimum here.
Also worth mentioning: if you’re ever in West Coast Canada, particularly Vancouver, then check out this place. Full disclosure, a close friend of mine started the gym a few years ago, and I think it’s a pretty awesome place. I’m looking forward to spending some time there on my next visit to Vancouver.
Thank you Steven for the heads up!
