Liquid Sculptures and Photography by Jack Long

A while back, I featured some amazing photographs by Mark Mawson of paint being dropped in water and then the result being captured in photographs. Our readers seemed to like it a lot so I thought I would bring you guys another amazing photographer by the name of Jack Long who specializes in liquid sculptures. He refers to it as liquid sculptures because his goal is to create intriguing three dimensional fluid forms.

The images he captures are created out of fluid and happen extremely quickly with high speed flash photography being the only method of seeing the action take place. It’s so brief that the flash photography that has a duration of only 1/10,000th of a second. Now that’s quick!

You may think that some of the images seen here have been enhanced somehow using photoshop composition or some sort of digital imaging program but that is simply not the case. All the images are single capture events and he has learned to do it over the years with all the experience under his belt. His techniques are self discovered and the perfect lighting plays a vital role in his stunning photography.

Have a look at the images below and make sure you check out the work of Jack Long.
