THIEF… is almost here, and I’m bloody excited. As I mentioned in my little gone gold post, I have a feeling that we’ve got a winner on our hands this time.
Forget about the last Thief game, you know… the really terrible one. Long live THIEF and its lively cast of characters – characters like Garrett, the Master Thief, and of course our good old friend the Thief Taker General, Commander of Baron’s Watch, not to be confused with the surgeon general.
THIEF, starring Daniel Day-Lewis!
I’m joking, but as you’re about to see, Mr. Thief Taker General shares a striking resemblance of Mr. Lewis from say, There Will Be Blood, or one of his other facial hair encompassing roles. Oh, and this is the latest and final episode in the THIEF: Stories of The City chronicles.
Check it out, it’s pretty cool.
According to the trailer synopsis, Thief Taker General is corrupt to the bone.
Those who don’t pay his favors, sexual or otherwise, are tracked down and killed… if they’re lucky. The corpses are then stripped of valuables and no doubt ground down into Soylent Green or some other such nastiness. That’s just how this guy rolls, and given his wrist crossbow, I have a feeling we’ll be fighting him in a boss battle.
Spoiler alert! Yes, you read it here first folks. The Thief Taker General… man… commander, person, is the final boss of the game. I would never lie to you.
Right, anyway. THIEF is hitting “store shelves” on February 28th, 2014 (that spells soon, M O O N), which means you should probably head over to Amazon and pre-order a copy of the game. It’s coming out for the usual platforms, ie: Computers, Xbones, and Playstation whatevers.
Besides, how else will I be able to afford my copy?
