I like to think that I’ve posted some interesting artsy footage over the years. I spend another time on the Internet, so I would hope that at least some of the material I turn up is worthy of your attention.
Some of the my favorite videos are simple time-lapse scenes of nature and cityscapes, some even taken in video games. But time-lapse videos are just one way to get my attention. There’s also pornography, or alternatively… people walking backwards through interesting cities like Tokyo.
If you’ve got a few minutes to kill, check out this trailer for TOKYO REVERSE. It’s everything you expect it to be.
So, what did you think? I told you it would be what you expected.
TOKYO REVERSE was filmed by Simon Bouisson… he’s the person walking backwards as well. Apparently the entire film is over 9… hours… long…
It’s part of something called the “Slow Television Movement”, which basically means long stretches of television with absolutely nothing happening. You can read about it here, but the long and the short of the story is that it’s pretty damn stupid. Who has 9 hours to watch a person walking backwards? Yikes. Hipsters these days.
Anyway, let me know what you thought of the trailer in the comments below, and if you have any favorite “walking backwards” footage of your own, please share that as well. My only request is that you don’t post any Kriss Kross, because that would make me very sad.
