Ducati Monster 821

Summer is just around the corner and Ducati decided to give us yet another option to enjoy the summer ridging season with the brand new Monster 821 naked bike, a new addition to Monster lineup.

The new smaller bike shares its look with its bigger siblings, the Ducati Monster 1200 and 1200S, with the exception of a double-sided swing arm and of course, it’s powered by a smaller engine. The engine is a water-cooled 821cc Testastretta 11° V-Twin, producing 128 horsepower and 66 pound-feet of torque (17 HP and 26 lb-ft less than its bigger siblings). The entire package weighs in at 395.7 pounds dry.

Don’t be fooled by the Monster 821’s simple looks, it packs a lot of the tech gadgetry found on the 1200. Features such as 3-level ABS Brakes, 8-level traction control, 3-level ride-by-wire throttle control, and an adjustable seat height.

The Ducati Monster 821 will be available in Regular and Dark versions. The regular version is priced at $11,495 and comes with red paint, red frame, and black wheels or white paint, red frame, and red wheels. The Dark edition comes with all-black everything and is priced at $10,995. These bikes will be available at Ducati dealerships in July 2014. via: Ducati
