I’ve wanted a tattoo since I first read The Dark Tower books by Stephen King. I know that’s a pretty strange connection. If I’m being completely honest, I can’t even remember why I made that association. What I do remember, however, is that I never ended up getting a tattoo for one very specific reason: I was worried I would get tired of the tattoo design.
That’s a pretty common fear with tattoos, right? My tastes change like the wind, and I’ve always worried that I found to find this great tattoo idea, have it done, and then regret it almost immediately.
These Tattoo Pictures Will Inspire You
At least, that’s the idea. You see, I love great artwork, even if it’s permanently affixed to one’s skin. These 3D tattoos are pretty amazing and should provide ample inspiration for those of you looking to ink up. Let’s get started…
Now, just imagine if Zebras had “dents” in their patterning like this. I think their predators would be very, very confused.
I feel like this is a famous scene, but I’m afraid I can’t quite place it. If you recognize it, please leave me a comment, and I’ll update the article. Either way, the tattoo is excellent.
This is one of my favorites in the collection. The effect looks fantastic!
The beauty of head tattoos is that when you get tired of them, you can just grow your hair out.
The “ink” may look black now, but I’m not convinced it will stay that way. In fact, the black parts of this tattoo look rather… photoshopped. What do you think?
What can I say? I’m a sucker for geometric patterns like this.
I included this for two reasons. It’s quite striking, but it’s also terrifying.
If our technology keeps improving, people won’t need tattoos like this for much longer. They could just get themselves a real robotic arm instead.
Tell me something, do tattoo artists tattoo themselves? I’m assuming this woman is a tattoo artist, but maybe that’s unfair. Perhaps she just really loves tattoos.
I can only imagine what kind of animals would leave a print in stone like this.
This looks pretty incredible, but I’m not sure I would want an open wound permanently printed on my skin. It might be a bit of a turn-off, you know?
I hope you’ve found these tattoo images inspiring, and I would love to see you share your own tattoos – or ones you really like – in the comments below.
