This might have been one of the shortest “articles” I had ever written (I know, you would have been crushed) if not for a last minute break in finding out who actually painted these amazing Noire style Nintendo paintings, but I’m getting a bit ahead of myself here.
These three posters were done by illustrator and painter Ástor Alexander, and I think they’re pretty damn great. I’ve seen tons of video game fan art over the years, and these are by far some of my favorite pieces.
What can I say? I’m a huge fan of this 1950s aesthetic.
So, what do you think of the collection? Would you buy paintings like these to hang on your walls?
If you’re interested in seeing more of Ástor Alexander’s work, then you can head over to his official website and have a look around. He’s done some amazing work, including a very NSFW painting of Colbert at the very end. If you’re at work, just avoid scrolling all the way to the bottom.
And if you really like these paintings, I’ve got some great news: you can buy prints of them right here.
