The Lamborghini Huracan might have a all-wheel drive system but it wasn’t designed to hit any off-road trails or slippery, snowy terrain. With a starting price of $237,000, not many owners would be willing to even play with such a silly idea. How about seeing a Lamborghini Huracan take on a snowmobile? If we’re talking about a Subaru Sti, it can be arranged but a Lamborghini?
Sounds like crazy talk but when you’re a popular automotive journalist, those silly ideas can become reality with a bit of persuasion. The Huracan has an advantage over other sports with rear-wheel drive systems but what about a toy made for the snow?
Mat Watson, of Auto Express, had the opportunity to take the 602 horsepower Lamborghini Huracan on an improvised snow course and got to see the Huracan’s capabilities in the snowy conditions first-hand. After driving around a bit to learn the driving characteristics, he was confident enough to challenge a snowmobile for a drag race.
Watch the video below to see how it all goes down. No word on whether the Lamborghini had snow tires or even studded tires. You guys be the judge.
