We’ve got an exciting year of gaming ahead of us. Between the wide range of new games coming out, and the exciting new virtual reality hardware just over the horizon, we’re going to have our hands busy, and our pockets emptied.
One of my favorite games of the last 5 years has been Dishonored by Arkane Studios. I’ve talked about it at length before, and since Dishonored 2 has just been official announced via this fantastic new Dishonored 2 trailer, I’ll likely be talking about it a whole lot more during the run-up to the game’s release in Spring 2016. That’s a way off still, but this trailer isn’t.
Check this out and tell me Dishonored 2 doesn’t look absolutely amazing.
As you probably noticed, Corvo Attano wasn’t in attendance for this particular trailer. Don’t worry, he’s still a playable character, but… we’re also being given the option to play Emily Kaldwin, a character you may recognize from Dishonored. Think back a bit and the whole thing will make sense. She was just a bit younger at the time.
In any case…
It’s exciting to see more strong female characters this generation of games. I think this may even become the norm, which is fantastic news. More character variety is never a bad thing, and studios finally making an effort to include the other 50% of the population is a smart move for a number of reasons.
Yes, we’re in for an exciting year of gaming ahead, and I’ll be here to bring you the latest and greatest news, screenshots, and trailers.
