The handsome looking Lamborghini Huracan gets a new stablemate, in the form of the Huracan LP610-4 Spyder. The Spyder looks just as good as the coupe and now offers its lucky owners even more thrills and more noise from the naturally aspirated V10 engine.
Unlike its main rival, the Ferrari 488 Spider, the Huracan uses a fabric top to keep the car’s weight down. The fabric top can be had in black, brown, or red and goes up or down in 17 seconds, and can be operated at speed of up to 31 mph.
With the top down, owner will get to enjoy the sun and hear the beautiful sounds produced by the V10 engine even more clearly; the V10 not only sounds good, it also performs. The 5.2 liter naturally aspirated engine produces 610 PS (602 horsepower) and 413 pound-feet of torque, sent to all four wheels via a 7-speed dual clutch transmission. The Huracan LP610-4 Spyder does the 0-62 mph sprint in 3.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 201 mph, that’s 0.2 seconds slower and 1 mph top speed less than the Huracan coupe.
The Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4 Spyder will go on sale in European markets in the Spring of 2016, with European prices starting at 186,450 Euros, which translates to about $210,000 US at today’s exchange rate; prices in the US should be a bit lower.
