Range Rover has always been a very interesting, delightful sports car with a lot of value and great quality attached to it. What makes this car unique is its design and the high standard delivered here. The new Range Rover Sport Td6 from Land Rover is here to change all of that.
Diesels weren’t the first choice for Range Rover, but the new Sport model comes with a 3 liter turbocharged Td6 engine that does a very good job and which has a great performance. The new car has a price of around $71,450.
Range Rover Sport Td6 comes with 254 horse power which is more than ok for a Range Rover model they did add in around 443 fp of torque which does add a lot of quality and performance. You can access this huge amount of torque even at the smaller speeds, something that does provide quite a lot of value.
As for its fuel efficiency, the Range Rover Sport Td6 does a very good job at offering you 22mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway. It might seem like much, but if you compare this with the regular V8 engine models from Range Rover you will see why this is an accomplishment! They did add a 23.5 gallon fuel tank which works amazingly well and the value you receive here is extraordinary.
Towing performance is amazing too, as the model does a very good job at working under constant pressure while still being able to deliver great fuel efficiency.
Another thing to mention here is that Range Rover Sport Td6 can go from 0 to 60 in up to 7.4 seconds, maybe a bit faster. You will also like the fact that they went with a new platform which is all-aluminum. This makes the design visually appealing. The engine block is thinner as it’s created with Compacted Graphite Iron. They did go with a Diesel Exhaust Fluid to protect the environment, something that makes their engine clean-diesel.
In regards to comfort, the Range Rover Sport Td6 does a very good job. It has a lot of space to accommodate five people or seven, that is if you have the third row seat (this one is optional to purchase). Other things added as standards here are the power tailgate, the electronic air suspension, rear-view camera and the rain-sensing wipers. It has a weight of 4727 pounds which is quite heavy, but even so, it’s an improvement over the previous models.
Is it worth a purchase? Range Rover Sport Td6 does offer some interesting upgrades, and it introduces some things that are usually paid extras in the regular package. It runs flawlessly on the road, the torque of this model is very good, and it also has an 8-speed automatic transmission. If you want to purchase a new Range Rover, the Sport Td6 can be a great choice if you take into consideration all of its new upgrades and features!
