BALL for BMW Watches

I’ve never looked into BALL watches; the only things I know about them is, they’re an American company and their watches have the brightest lume in the watch industry.  BALL has teamed up with BMW to create the “BALL for BMW” watch.

The watch is said to be designed after gauges from a car with multi-layers, giving it a bit of a 3D look.  The dial does look like an automotive gauge but then again most watch dials look like gauges… well, because they’re round and have numbers on them.  I do, however, like the look of the BALL for BMW watch, if the price is right.

The watch comes in a 42mm black stainless steel DLC or gold cases with an easy to read dial.  The dial features indices and hands that contain micro tubes filled with tritium (3H) gas that gives BALL watches that glow; tritium doesn’t require external light or energy source to light up.  The dial features a sub-dial that has the power-reserve indicator and a date window at the 3 o’clock position a BMW logo next to it.  The dial is covered with AR-coated sapphire crystal and the watch is water resistant to 100 meters.  The watch comes with a rubber strap, a steel bracelet, or a crocodile leather strap.

The BALL for BMW watch features the patented Amortiser system which protects the movement from being damaged in case of extreme shock (like a Casio G-Shock).  The movement is an automatic ETA caliber 2897 with 42 hour power reserve and is COSC certified.
