Here’s another video in what appears to be an ongoing gameplay footage release spree from Dice. Fault Line Episode 3 follows the player as he works to find the end point of a suspicious wire leading into a building. Given the seemingly paper-thin story, you can guess what’s at the end of it. What you probably didn’t expect, however, is a brief bout of fisticuffs. It looks as though the player is able to engage in a Rock’em Sock’em style of mêlée combat, at least in scripted sequences.
The previous videos were excellent and showed off a number of new features, such as improved building destruction, and this new clip takes this a step further. I’m not going to spoil the sequence for you, but make sure to watch right until the end of the video; you won’t be disappointed.
Battlefield 3 is coming out this fall for PC, Xbox 360, and PS3.
