“Ancient legends of the Aymara tell us of Huayra Tata, god of wind, who commands the breezes, winds, and blizzards that invade the mountains, cliffs and hills of the Andean highlands. It is told that Huayra Tata resides deep in the high peaks and valleys, abandoning them only to demonstrate his power to his wife, Pachamama, goddess of mother earth. With his power Huayra Tata was able to lift the waters from lake Titicaca and rain them down on the fertile Pachamama. When Huayra Tata sleeps, the waters and rivers lay quiet. But the calm before the storm is about to be interrupted…”
The successor to the simply stunning Zonda has arrived. With an exclusively AMG made 700hp 6.0L twin-turbo V12 engine, a top speed of 235mph, and a 0-60 in just 3.2 secs, the Pagani Huayra is automotive breakthrough worthy of a godly praise.
Accented with a flowing design with purpose, the Huayra boasts it’s gull-wing doors like a bird of prey that is ready to attack.
But don’t let the doors fool you into thinking they bloated the curb weight. Pagani’s never ending quest for weight reduction has created a fusion of aesthetical elements.
One feature of this is the integration of all ventilation air ducts into the monocoque’s structure, elimating any use of additional parts and ducts. This level of adamant attention to detail by Pagani has given the car a curb weight of 1350 kg, making the Huayra the lightest sportscar in its class.
Even with the amazing increase to the amount of horsepower, CO2 emissions and fuel consumption have been reduced to make the Huayra class leading amongst 12 cylinder sports cars.
