I’ve never listened to music on a Bose speaker, but have watched hundreds of commercials on TV for their small speaker that supposedly fills the room with rich sound that is as good as a full surround sound system (or close to it). Maybe someday I’ll experience it firsthand but for now I’ll just go with what their press releases and commercials say.
They have a new speaker called the Bose Solo TV Sound System designed specifically for flat-screen TVs. As televisions get slimmer and lighter, I’ve noticed their sound systems get worse and that’s where the new Bose speaker for TVs comes in and it makes perfect sense.
The Bose Solo TV Sound System is a single speaker that is placed under the TV stand. The speaker measures 20.8” wide, 12.2” deep, and 3” high and weighs 10 pounds. The Bose TV speaker is designed for flat-screen TVs up to 42” that have a base of 39.8”. The speaker comes with 2 cords, one to connect it to the television and the other one connects to a power outlet, and a 4-button remote control. It’s a pretty simple system, so easy a caveman can set it up. The Bose Solo TV Sound System is priced at $399.
