Custom bike builder Julian Schneider is one of Austria’s top Triumph builders. Julian’s shop, located in Oberpinzgau, Austria, has created this amazing custom Triumph Speed Triple. The bike is for Julian’s personal use and was finished in October 2009 and is a tribute to New Zealand’s famous bike racer and land speed record holder Burt Munro, hence the bike is called the Burt Munro Edition.
Julian didn’t tinker with the Triumph Speed Triple’s engine, except for an intake modification and a new exhaust. All the modification came in the handling department with new fork springs, shocks, and a steering damper from Ohlins. Lightweight magnesium wheels from Marchesini and a Bering brake system is sure to put a smile on a smile on anyone’s face while riding this bike through the twisties.
The Burt Munro Triumph Speed Triple looks great with an aggressive streetfighter look to it. I think Burt Munro would be pleased with the way this bike came out and would be honored to have this bike named after him.
