It is often said that Chinese will be the most popular language in the world in a near future. I mean, there are already at least 1.5 billion speakers in the world, which is approximately a fifth of the Earth’s population. The main issue with it replacing English as the most used language is its inaccessibility. The western society sees it as a very complicated language to learn, with a different alphabet and weird pronunciations that resemble in nothing our regular written and spoken communication.
However, in the last few days this barrier seems to have found its destroyer. Chinese writer ShaoLan Hsue has developed an image-based system which she says will make the process of learning how to speak and write Chinese much simpler, faster, and fun for everybody.
In the following video, she explains how her system works and how you can access it and learn “the language of the future”.
