Square Enix just released a new game-play trailer for Deus Ex: Human Revolution featuring commentary by Eidos’s lead writer, Mary DeMarle. The trailer shows multiple ways of completing one of the games early levels by either using direct force, or being stealthy. We also get to see a few of the brutal and extremely satisfying mêlée take-downs that Adam Jensen is able to perform using his built-in arm blades.
The trailer looks very much in the style of the original Deus Ex, at least in terms of game-play. The graphics are substantially better than Human Revolution’s Unreal powered predecessor, but admittedly, the visuals do look a touch last gen. Having said that, if this game is even a quarter as enjoyable as Deus Ex, I’ll be more than willing to overlook the slightly dated graphics in favor of a deep and branching story, and interesting game-play.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution will hit North American retailers on August 23 for PC, Xbox 360, and PS3.
