Some of you guys including my friends will be wondering why I am writing about laundry detergent on a mens’ website. Well, the last time I checked most guys do not enjoy doing laundry. And when they do laundry, they want the whole process to be an easy task without the need to cleanup a potential mess.
Dizolve detergent is basically the same thing as the powder or liquid detergent but Dizolve has a few advantages. First of all, Dizolve detergent comes in sheets which are pre-measured for one regular load of laundry. The sheets are also perforated in the middle just in case you have a smaller laundry load to wash. This takes the messy measuring out of the equation. Dizolve detergent also contains minimal water content unlike the liquid detergents which are generally 50% water. This reduces the use of valuable resources. Unlike the powder detergents, Dizolve is 100% dissolvable and it also contains biodegradable cleaning ingredients. And it’s also nice that it takes very little room (you’ll know what I mean when you see the pictures below).
Have a look below at my quick mixing test of ‘Dizolve Laundry Detergent’ versus ‘Sunlight Laundry Detergent (powder)’.
Look at the size difference! Sunlight box weighs 15 lbs for a 120 regular laundry loads. The Dizolve detergent (pictured below) contains 32 loads per package and weighs next to nothing. That’s a huge difference.
Not very much packaging involved here (32 Load Package)
Here is a comparison of the Dizolve sheet versus Powder measured at one regular scoop
Mixing the Sunlight Laundry Detergent with water
After being mixed for 30 seconds. There was actually way more unmixed powder detergent sitting at the bottom of the glass.
Mixing the Dizolve Detergent sheet with water
Remains of the Dizolve after being mixed for 30 seconds. The sheet dissolved much better than the powder detergent. With enough mixing, I’m sure both would dissolve equally.
We’ve used the Dizolve detergent sheets for a couple of weeks now. It does just as well of a job in cleaning the clothing as the powder or liquid detergents. Dizolve is available in three scents (Lavender, Fresh Linen, and Unscented). I did find that the powder detergents that we use in our home leave the washed clothing with a stronger ‘fresh’ scent compared to the Dizolve ‘Fresh Linen’ we’ve been using. Not that the Dizolve didn’t smell fresh but I think the scent was a bit more subtle. At the end of the day, the choice is obviously yours. But I would suggest you give the product a chance and check it out.
With that being said, the smart man should really check out another product called ‘Just a Drop’. Both of these products are developed by Prelam Enterprises who started out in the air freshener business in 1999. ‘Just a Drop’ is one of the most genius products that I have ever come across. I actually found the product by accident and I did a review about it back in May. This stuff really does eliminate bathroom odor that would be created if you use the bathroom for number two. And the packaging is perfect for women to carry it with them in their purses. All it takes is one drop of this magic liquid! Make sure you check out my full review about it.
Lastly, we are giving away 3-months supply of ‘Dizolve’ detergent and ‘Just a Drop’ to three people. Stay tuned for details about that.
