Over the past few years, I’ve shifted almost my entire wardrobe over to clothes that are designed with military sensibilities. Garments that are light, durable, and that allow for a wide range of motion for my active lifestyle.
Am I a soldier? No. A spy then? No… though sometimes I like to pretend. I’m just a regular guy that writes for a living and likes to climb, cycle, and lift heavy things in my free time. Oh, and I always want to look stylish… that’s key.
Nylon Jackets = Win
Triple Aught Design needs no introduction. I’m written about them many times, both previews and reviews, and as long as they keep designing high quality garments and gear, I’ll continue to do so.
Today I would like to highlight one of their newest garments, the Equilibrium Jacket. I’m planning to do a full review in the coming weeks, but figured I would get a few pictures up in the mean time to show it off.
In short, it’s a sexy nylon jacket made from Schoeller’s 3XDRY material, making it both hydrophobic and hydrophilic. It’s even lined with Polartec’s Alpha® material, meaning you won’t freeze your ass off when the temperatures drop.
It’s also highly portable. So portable, in fact, that you can actually stuff the entire jacket into a special pocket for easy packing. Useful for travel too, as it seems to make a great pillow.
I’ll be sure to snap proper photos of this during my official review of the jacket.
The Equilibrium Jacket retails for $200 USD and comes in both Gunmetal and Black. I’ll be doing a full review in the coming weeks, and in the mean time, you can browse around the official Triple Aught Design website for more information on this jacket and many other garments that TAD makes.
