The Nissan 370Z is one of my favorite affordable sports cars; it comes with decently good looks, lots of power, and comes with Nissan’s racing pedigree. To celebrate that racing pedigree, Nissan has launched a special edition 370Z GT Edition based on the European model. The car will only be available in the European market; we don’t know whether Nissan will bring it to North America.
The special edition 370Z comes in three body colors, Kuro Black, Pearl White, and Black Rose. The cars feature retro inspired stripes on the rocker panels, much like the Z cars from the 1970’s (click here to see Unfinished Man’s RB25DET powered 1974 Datsun 260Z).
Other upgrades include 19” Rays forged wheels with anthracite finish, a retuned chassis that’s suitable for high speed driving, and extra sound deadening material is applied to the bottom of the car to keep the cabin quiet at those high speeds. Nissan has also added electronic gadgets such as Premium Connect satellite navigation system with a rear view camera, tire pressure monitoring system, and an optional 7-speed automatic transmission that includes a snow mode. In the snow mode, the 370Z starts off in second gear to avoid tire spin.
The European only Nissan 370Z GT Edition will be available in June for £35,000 or about $56,565 US at today’s exchange rate.
