Ferrari Sergio: Honoring Sergio Pininfarina

I wasn’t aware of a new car coming out of Ferrari’s Maranello factory; well, the car is kind of new. The Ferrari Sergio, named after Sergio Pininfarina, celebrates 60 years of partnership between the two Italian companies. Pininfarina has designed some of the most beautiful Ferrari cars over the last 60 years.

Unfortunately, the car that celebrates 60 years of partnership is not a beautiful one (in my humble opinion), and neither is it new. The Ferrari Sergio is basically a reworked Ferrari 458, which looks like a Chinese knockoff Ferrari, sorry Mr. Pininfarina.

Only 6 of these cars are produced, unveiled at the Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi along with the Ferrari FXX K. The cars are powered by the same naturally aspirated 4.5 liter V8 engine found on the 458 Speciale, producing 597 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque, reaching 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3 seconds.
