When I have my friends over for a party, they’ll inevitably ask me some variation on one or all of the following questions:
Doesn’t that standing desk make you tired? Do you really stand *all* day?
To which I’ll politely explain that yes, I do in fact stand all day.
Moments later they’ll ask, why do you own so many headphones?!?!?! What could you possibly do with all those headphones???!
To which I’ll usually yell something like, DON’T JUDGE ME!! YOU DON’T KNOW ME!!! – before dashing out of the room.
(I’m only half joking)
The truth is that I’m passionate about music and want only the best headphones. When you listen to music all day like I do, why settle for something that sounds sub-par? That’s why I’m a big fan of Focal’s Spark headphones when I’m training at the gym, and suspect I’m going to love their new Clear headphones when I get my hands on them as well.
Clear uses an ‘M’–shape Aluminum/Magnesium dome that’s equipped with a revolutionary copper voice coil that provides remarkable dynamics across the audio spectrum, with bass that sounds absolutely amazing – even when you crank the volume – and exceptional linearity in the high-end. Because it’s an open ear design, it’s also super light, which is key when you’ve got headphones on your head as frequently as I do.
Clear is now available from retail and online partners for $1,499 USD / $1,899 CAD. For more information and a list of dealers, head on over to the Clear page on the official Focal website.
If their previous headphones are any indication, then we’re in for a real treat.
