The Ford Fiesta ST is one of my absolute favorite vehicles, I wrote an in-depth review on it a few months ago. The “ST” is the top of the line and most fun of the Fiestas, but Ford also has other Fiesta models with an emphasis on fuel economy, like the Fiesta 1.0 EcoBoost.
Ford has released a special edition version of the 1.0 liter equipped cars, in Europe only, called the Fiesta Red Edition and Fiesta Black Edition. Both of these cars are painted in the colors the names would suggest.
The 1.0 liter EcoBoost 3-cylinder engine has been massaged a bit to produce 138 horsepower (an increase of 15 HP) and the 5-speed manual gearbox has also been tinkered with, although Ford didn’t say what they did to it. The little Fiesta is able to reach 62 mph (100 km/h) in 9.0 seconds with a top speed of 125 mph (201 km/h) and consumes 4.1 L/100 km (57 US mpg) on the European Union cycle.
Other than paint, I personally like the Black Edition with the red roof and red accents, the cars get sporty 16” or optional 17” wheels. The cars also get subtle body kits and two-tone seats and red stitching on the seats, carpets, and the steering wheel.
No word or price or when these cars will go on sale in Europe. Via: Ford
