When it comes to action cameras, GoPro is usually the go to camera for most consumers, but there has been a lot of competition lately and GoPro might be feeling the heat. To stay one step ahead of the competition, GoPro has just released the Hero4 Session action camera.
The GoPro Hero4 Session is the smallest and lightest camera the company has ever produced, it’s 50% smaller and 40% lighter than the Hero4, weighing 2.6 ounces and measuring 1.5 cubic inches. The smaller packaging makes it even more usable and easy to mount to the body, cars, and everything else you can think of.
The Hero4 Session camera can be mounted using mounts from the previous generation cameras, it’s water proof to 33 feet without needing separate housing, but does lose a bit of usability by the deletion of the rear LCD screen. The Hero4 Session can shoot 1080p videos at 60 frames per second or 1440p at 30 fps. It can shoot 8MP still images in single mode, 10 frames per second burst mode, and 0.5 second interval time lapse. The camera comes with built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi and comes with only one button for simplicity of use.
The GoPro Hero4 Session action camera is priced at $399. [Buy It]
