The Unfinished Man team had the opportunity to interview the beautiful and very down to earth Heather Shanholtz. I’m sure our readers will totally read this post and not just look at the pictures. 😉
Don’t worry, I’ve asked a lot of good questions too!
An Interview with model Heather Shanholtz…
Unfinished Man: Thank you for giving Unfinished Man the opportunity to interview you Heather. So why don’t you tell our readers a little bit about yourself and when did you first get into modeling?
Heather Shanholtz: I got into modeling about 6 years ago. Since I’ve been featured in Maxim Espanol, American Curves (4 times), Muscle Mag, Planet Muscle, Ultimate MMA and many others. I’m also a spokes model for a new MMA clothing line called DTF MMA (Down to Fight). I also represent Flying Pasties – a company focused on protecting the privacy of travelers at airports from body scanners.
UM: Before modeling, which jobs have you held in the past?
Heather: I’ve been a chef, paralegal, office manager, a civil engineer among others.
UM: Worst job you’ve had?
Heather: Telemarketer
UM: Ughh, I hate telemarketers. Do you have a specific style of modeling you prefer? (ie. Lingerie, fashion, artistic, etc)
Heather: Lingerie, I feel comfortable in my own skin.
UM: Have you entered any modeling contests in the past?
Heather: Yes but I see them as a waste of time so I don’t mess with them anymore.
UM: What are some of the biggest magazines you’ve been featured in?
Heather: Maxim Espanol & Muscle Mag.
UM: If the opportunity came, would you model for Playboy Magazine?
Heather: No
UM: I’ve heard that you have been featured in some commercials. Is acting an interest of yours?
Heather: It is something that I’m getting into so yes.
UM: Do you plan on modeling as long as you can? What would you like to be doing five years from now?
Heather: I’ll be modeling as long as the time allows but for the future I’d like to take all of my contacts and use them for my own swimsuit line or my own modeling and talent agency.
UM: Do you do a lot of outdoor activities whether it’s sports, hiking, swimming, etc?
Heather: I like to go to the gun range, skydive, paintball, jet ski, water ski. I’m very active, I even have my motorcycle license.
UM: Oh god, a hot girl that rides a motorcycle. The ultimate catch. You look very fit but there must be times where you just pig out. What is your absolute favorite dish?
Heather: Anything spicy! I add hot sauce to just about everything.
UM: And how often do you workout?
Heather: Four times a week
UM: Have you had any plastic surgery? Don’t worry, our team is good at keeping secrets.
Heather: I’ve had a few things done 😉
UM: Which artists can be found on your mp3 player?
Heather: Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Roscoe Dash, Gorilla Zoe, Yung Joc.
UM: What are a few of your favorite films?
Heather: Nothing to Lose, it’s my all time favorite. Also, the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I’m big into comedies and horror.
UM: How often are you on the road for work?
Heather: I’m getting back into traveling but since relocating to Miami I’ve stayed pretty busy here. I have a trip that I’m planning for Hong Kong later this year.
UM: What do you currently drive and what is your dream car?
Heather: Mercedes SLK 350 I would love to own a Porsche Panamera one day.
UM: The lady has taste in cars as well. Well, as you may know, most of our readers are men. They’re going to be wondering about a few questions so I’ll go ahead and ask them on their behalf. Please don’t smack me! Are you currently single?
Heather: I am
UM: When you go on a date with a guy, what’s more important to you – personality or looks?
Heather: Def. personality, looks always fade with time.
UM: When it comes to grooming downstairs, waxed, shaved or well trimmed?
Heather: I had laser done.
UM: Cool, I’m considering that too. Should a guy also be taken care of down there? Or do you prefer a cave man?
Heather: Cave men are for the prehistoric times.
UM: Agreed. So, some of us guys have our handy toy called the Flesh Light. You have “companions” when on the road?
Heather: LOL! A few 😉
UM: Pheww, it’s getting hot in here. What does a guy have to do to sweep you off your feet?
Heather: He has to be hysterically funny, adventurous and spontaneous.
UM: Hey that guy sounds like me except I’m hysterically funny looking. So should food and sex ever be mixed?
Heather: Yes, depending on what it is.
UM: And speaking of food – chocolate or sex?
Heather: Def. sex nothing beats it.
UM: Did I mention it was getting hot in here? Let’s change the subject. Speaking of subject, your favorite and least favorite course in High School?
Heather: Math & History
UM: You ever go out dancing with your friends with your busy schedule?
Heather: Yes. I get a lot of hosting jobs so I’m paid to help promote events for various venues and clubs.
UM: Has your family and friends been supportive of you and your career?
Heather: Of course! My mom is my #1 fan!
UM: I see that you have one tattoo. Is there a special meaning behind that and any plans on getting more
Heather: I actually have 4. On my ankle, hip, lower back, & on the inside of my bottom lip. My lip tattoo has the most meaning. My best friend and I went out and got them. Mine says “We Live” and his says “Like This” so when we stand next to each other it says “We Live Like This”.
UM: Which female model do you look up to and have a lot of respect for?
Heather: Tahiti Cora she’s a hustler like me.
UM: The modeling business is not an easy one. Any tips for models that are new to the business?
Heather: Network and think outside of the box to land you jobs. Sign with a good agency and work with good photographers. Quality over quantity.
UM: How many countries have you traveled to and your favorite vacation spot? You should definitely check out Vancouver, BC in Canada. That’s where the Unfinished Man team is located, haha.
Heather: I’d love to check out Vancouver! I’ve been to Iceland, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Mexico, St. Maarten, St. Thomas, Bahamas, & Jamaica. Iceland was by far the best!
UM: Anything you would like to say to your fans?
