Here’s Why I’m Pumped to Play Metal Gear Online: Tactical Team Operations

I’m about 20 hours into Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, and this is shaping up to be one of my most enjoyable gaming experiences of all time. I stop playing from time to time not because I’m bored, but because the game is so intense. The gameplay is immensely satisfying, from sneaking past tanks to “fulltoning” out enemy soldiers to be recruited back at mother base, MGS:V nails it all. Did I mention that the graphics are great too?

But I’ve got a little problem. One of these days I should really get back to a regular work schedule. My friends are starting to miss me, and I’m probably getting a little *too* white from lack of sun. The trouble? Metal Gear Online: Tactical Team Operations is coming out in about a month (October), which means that by the time I’m “finished” with the massive single player campaign, I’ll have a whole new arena in which to test my skills.

Here’s a brand new trailer showing what the gameplay is like in MGO.

So why am I so pumped to play Metal Gear Online? Simply put, the single player gameplay is well suited to a multiplayer environment. Call it a hunch or gut feeling, but I suspect I’m right about this. Watching this trailer only confirms my beliefs. Yes, I have a feeling we’re in for something very special, and I can only hope that Konami decides to support MGO for years to come.
