How To Survive College

Starting your first year of college can be an exciting moment. Moving into your dorm, meeting new friends, and getting settled in a new location can all be things to look forward to. Next thing you know, classes have started and the excitement you had might slightly diminish. You start having papers that are due, you signed up for classes that were way too early,
Here are some ways to deal with your college struggles!
Budget and save.

We have all been there. Especially if you do not plan on having a job, it can be hard to keep funds up in your bank account. As much as we love to splurge on clothes and concerts, your most important investment is your education and food! Make sure that when you receive some money, to save a little bit of it every time so you always have something there for a rainy day.

Pace yourself
Never overwork yourself with school work. Make sure you take breaks in between. I know it is tempting but DO NOT procrastinate! Start your assignments as early as possible. Also, try not to overload your schedule with so many difficult classes all at once. Keep balance. Talk to your advisor to make sure you are keeping a reasonable load.

Balance your school life and social life
It is important to maintain your grades but getting out and enjoying yourself is also crucial to your success. Take a Saturday or Sunday to just de-stress, hang with some friends, or even walk around campus to clear your mind. On the days you choose to study, make sure you allow yourself to do your work with no distractions. Watching Netflix and scrolling through your social media feed can wait. Think of it as your reward!

I hope these tips help you to navigate through college life more peacefully and efficiently.
