I just traded in my 2013 Ford Fiesta for a brand “new” and unused 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT with the Tech Package. I was hoping there wouldn’t be any changes for a couple of years but looks like Hyundai has released some details on the 2015 Hyundai Elantra. I spent my entire life in Nissan vehicles so getting in that Ford Fiesta was a big let down but this Elantra on the other hand is quite nice. And I’d expect nothing less from the 2015 model.
Thankfully for me, the 2015 changes are not extreme like a complete redesign which should happen in the next couple of years. The rumor mill has it that the 2015 Hyundai Elantra will either keep the 2.0-liter engine producing 173 horsepower that was introduced for the 2014 model or perhaps there will be an optional 1.6-liter turbocharged engine producing 201 horsepower which can also be found on the Hyundai Veloster turbo.
The 2015 Hyundai Elantra will be available with more exterior paint color options and additional trim packages. The Sport Model in the automatic transmission is now also available with a new optional Tech Package which includes a seven-inch touchscreen naviagtion system, a 360-watt audio with an external amp and Blue Link telematics, and available in Monaco White paint for this trim. The interior of vehicle has also been redesigned and looks pretty sleek. The touchscreen navigation and audio system appears to be more streamlined and features less buttons.
The Elantra SE now has a Style package which will provide consumers with a $400 value savings. This Style package will include black cloth seats, leather steering wheel and shift knob, power sunroof, chrome exterior trim and aluminum front door sills, and LED daytime lights. The SE’s Equipment Package now also features the driver’s one-touch auto up window.
The top of the line Tech Package has been renamed to Limited Ultimate but the price of this option has been reduced by $350 while still offering the exact same features. The Elantra SE and the Limited are now also available in four new exterior paint jobs which include Symphony Silver, Quartz White Pearl, Shale Gray Metallic, and Lakeside Blue.
The 2015 Hyundai Elantra will have a starting price of $17,250 plus a $810 delivery fee. A fully loaded up Elantra should set you back by approximately $27,000.
