I know what you’re thinking… photo manipulations are a dime a dozen. It’s true, but every so often they’re both well executed and introduce an interesting concept, or at least something visually unique. This falls into the latter category, with a small collection of “invisible bicycles” by artist Zhao Huasen.
They’re bicycles, and they’re floating, and the effect actually looks quite convincing. The photos actually kind of remind me of an experience that I had while riding down the Swiss Alps, which involved a long strip of rocky road, my balls, and a bike that – just like in these photos – was basically non-existent. After I finished the ride, my balls and ass were also virtually non-existent. Hint: If you’re riding down the Swiss Alps, rent a bike with suspension.
Invisible Bicycles
You know, neither of these kids look particularly phased by the whole levitating act that their fathers are conducting. They don’t even seem to be impressed by their father’s ability to make an entire bicycle disappear, a skill that takes most people years to master.
Now, I think what Mr. Huasen needs to do next is create an entire set featuring the same floating, invisible bicycles that we all know and love, but with cycles hurtling down a mountain in a race – preferably with rough, ball breaking terrain. Hell, if he really wanted to make it exciting he could hire the extreme sports participants from the various Red Bull challenges that happen every so often. There’s nothing more hard-core than riding down a mountain… without a bike!
