Kawasaki Z800 – One Mean Looking Bike

This entire summer I was looking for cool motorcycles to write about but only found one (I think) and now that summer is pretty much over (at least in the northern hemisphere), I find myself writing three articles on motorcycles in a couple of days; just in time for the wet, snowy, and nasty weather- isn’t life ironical (I didn’t know ironical was a word, I thought I was being smart but spell checker didn’t give me any grief).

Today we bring you yet another Kawasaki motorcycle but this one is a bit more substantial than the Ninja 300, it’s downright mean looking and looks ready to eat a few Ninja 300’s for breakfast.

The images were leaked on Thai website Siam Rider Club and show the replacement bike for the very popular Kawasaki Z750.  The Z800 is, IMO, a big step forward in terms of design, I just love the menacing look it has.

We don’t have much information on the bike since these are leaked images and Kawasaki hasn’t released an official press kit, yet.  We do expect it to be more powerful than the bike it replaces since it has an extra 50cc of displacement; the Z750 had 104 horsepower and 58 pound-feet of torque.  The Z800 is pretty much a sport bike minus the bodywork with a bit of a higher seating position.  This “street fighter” should be a capable ride on the twisty roads and fun and nimble on the busy city streets.

Check back here for more information on the bike, I promise I’ll update all the relevant information as soon as I get my hands on it or some Thai website hack or do whatever they do, to get it.  For now enjoy the beautiful pictures of the 2013 Kawasaki Z800 motorcycle below.
