I recently found out about this very handy little gadget called the Water Leak Alarm. This thing reminds me of a little water filter and is able to detect even the tiniest of water drops when it gets close to the alarm.
This thing is very easy to use as there is no programming involved or buttons to push. Simply place the alarm in any area that can be potentially flooded such as under sinks, in the basement near main pipes, toilets, water heater, and close to a washing machine. Even if a small amount of water touches the detector, a loud alarm (100dB) will sound for up to 24 hours. The batteries are built-in and non-replaceable. But the good news is that the battery will last for up to three-years, and the Water Leak Alarm only costs $19.99 for three of them.
Although very useful, I think this would be a perfect gadget for pranks. Can you imagine getting one wet and hiding it your friend’s home? Another question that’s bugging me is what if the detector accidentally gets wet? How do you turn it off? Or do you just take a hammer to it?
I wonder if it will detect wet dreams.
my ex had one and I set it off.. didn’t shut up for about 2 hours, was damned annoying
