We write about watches often enough here on Unfinished Man and it’s usually about time pieces where the average consumer would have to sort out a 35 year payment plan in order to own it. But we do feature some affordable watches such as G-Shock’s or this Kisai Blade LED Watch. The Kisai Blade LED Watch is available from the guys over at Tokyo Flash Japan. The watch is designed to resemble a turbine engine and features LED lights to display the time in a non-traditional method.
The watch is available in available in silver, gold, or black and also available with a leather band version. The watch also comes in three different LED colors such as red, blue, and green. The time can be displayed in two different ways and both requiring concentration to figure out the time.
The first method of time display is the turning mode, in which the LED light will spin around the face of the clock, landing on three different spots which indicate the time. The first stop of the blade is the hour, while the last two stops indicate the minutes as can be seen in the video above. In the flashing mode, the fully lit LED light will indicate the hour, the flashing LED will indicate the five minute increment, and the LED dots (between and four) by the 12-hour marker will indicate the exact minute.
The Kisai Blade LED Watch features a unique design which may not be for everybody and the method of displaying time is definitely unusual. The watch also displays dates and has alarm modes as well. And if you happen to be in to the rave scene, perhaps the animation settings on the watch might be just the thing you’re looking for. In the animation setting, the LED lights up in various patterns.
The Kisai Blade LED Watch can also be recharged via a USB with a typical charge lasting up to a month. This time piece will set you back $169 over at Tokyo Flash Japan.
