Lamborghini makes some pretty sweet looking/sounding/performing cars, all because Enzo Ferrari looked down on the “tractor-maker”, or so the story goes. April 26, 2016 would’ve marked the 100th birthday of the late Ferrucio Lamborghini, the man behind these Italian beasts. To celebrate this occasion, the Italian car maker has introduced the Lamborghini Centenario.
The Lamborghini Centenario supercar will be (or was) offered to a select few (rich) customers, with plans for production of only 40 units, with 20 being coupes and 20 roadsters. The coupe has a starting price of a cool 1.75 million Euros, you may want to get your paperwork ready for some fast car title loans to afford one of these limited production cars, unfortunately for you, all 40 of these cars have already been spoken for. Maybe try eBay when/if the owners decide to flip them.
The Centenario is supposedly an all-new design, but it looks like a Huracan (at the front) and an Aventador (at the back) to me… and with a massive body kit bolted on, which looks to be designed by a 10-year old. Thankfully it’s a limited edition car, I will most likely never see it because I think it’s a very ugly car… a limited edition ugly car.
It is also going to be a fast limited edition ugly car, it’s powered by the naturally aspirated V12 engine from the Aventador, but it’s producing 770 PS (760 horsepower) in this guise compared to 700 PS on the Aventador. The Centenario sprints to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 2.8 seconds and can reach a top speed of 217 mph.
The front of the Centenario doesn’t look bad at all, and even the side view is good, things go south after the C-Pillar, where there’s a really wide wide-body kit, that looks like an afterthought and the back is a complete mess with a massive diffuser that looks more “rice” than nice! You may say the car doesn’t look that bad in the pictures in this post, I think it looks bad in these pictures but it really looks bad in non-studio candid pictures and in real life it probably looks worse. Sorry Lamborghini, this is a hot mess, but I guess there are 40 rich people with enough money to buy up all you’ll produce.

The Centenario does look ugly. Its shame how Lamborghini treats its name with these hideous creations.
