Today Lamborghini announced yet another version of the Gallardo sports car; the car is called the Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse, which is based on the track-only Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo, which is based on the Gallardo Superleggera, which is based on … confused yet?
The Gallardo Squadra Corse is powered by a direct injection 5.2 liter V10 engine (found in the Superleggera) producing 570 horsepower and 399 pound-feet of torque. The Corse also goes on a bit of diet with carbon fiber pieces, weighing in at 2,954 pounds, that’s 154 pounds lighter than the LP 560-4. The added power and lower weight helps propel the Squadra Corse from standstill to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds and 124 mph in 10.4 seconds, with a top speed of 199 mph.
On the inside, this car is loaded up with carbon fiber and Alcantara, it looks quite beautiful. The dashboard, door panels, and center console is covered with Alcantara, and the carbon fiber seats feature Alcantara inserts. Customers can choose to have their seats covered in leather, as an option. Carbon fiber is also applied to the lower part of the steering wheel, in the gauge cluster, center console, door panels, and hand brake.
The Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse will be showcased at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, no word on prices yet. Via: Lamborghini
