A while back, we wrote about the Levitron Revolution which was surprisingly popular with out readers and Gina once wrote about the Levitating Light Bulb. I guess Unfinished Man readers and the crew here have a thing for awesome, floating gadgetry. Today, I present to you a floating lamp called the Levitron Lamp with Levitating Shade. How cool would it be to have a floating lamp shade in your bedroom or living room? Definitely a conversation starter if you ask me.
What you see here is the combination of art and “cutting edge technology” resulting in a fascinating lamp sculpture which features a lamp shade that not only floats more than 3cm above its base but it also rotates! The stylish lamp measures in at 16.5-inches high and a 11.5-inch brushed chrome stand. The diameter of the lamp shade is 7.5-inches so it’s not a large lamp that is intended to light up an entire room but rather a decoration piece that is meant to attract attention and curiosity.

If you get sick and tired of looking at a floating lamp shade, you can float other devices on here as well as long as they weigh no more than 13 ounces. The lamp comes with a magnet position tool so you can float whatever personal object you wish to. That’s pretty cool right? The lamp itself features six white, high intensity LEDs providing accent lighting and creating a nice and modern ambiance.
A $129 might seem a bit steep for such a small lamp but remember that the lamp shade rotates and you can even float/rotate personal object weighing up to 13 ounces.
