In late summer, Lamborghini gave us peasants a teaser image of what was to come for the Frankfurt Motor Show. The car, of course, is the Lamborghini Gallardo 570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale which is only limited to 150 units and is the most “extreme” Gallardo to be released from Lamborghini to date.
Inspired by the Blancpain Super Trofeo, the new Gallardo will be powered by a V10 putting out 570 horsepower and torque peaking at 398 lbs-ft at 6500 rpm. With the vehicle only weighing in at just under 3,000 lbs, the Gallardo Super Trofeo Stradale will be able to pull off a 0-60 in just 3.4 seconds and capable of hitting 124 mph in a lighting quick 10.4 seconds. The car is expected to reach speeds as high as 198 mph.
Like nearly every Lambo sold these days, the Super Trofeo will feature all-wheel drive, and an e-gear single clutch automated manual transmission. The Super Trofeo will also feature something call ‘Thrust Mode’ which is just another fancy word for Launch Control. This will help in delivering maximum acceleration with a clutch dump at 5000 rpm. And to bring this bad boy to a stop, the car features eight-piston front brake calipers and four-piston brakes in the rear. Ventilated cast-iron discs are a standard and customers have the option of going for the carbon-ceramic discs as an option.
The limited edition Gallardo Super Trofeo Stradale will be available in an exclusive ‘Rosso Mars’ paint which represents Italy’s traditional racing red. The ‘Ross Mars’ will be complimented by matte black finishing throughout the car such as the engine hood, rear spoiler, and air intakes. As expected, plenty of carbon fiber can also be found on the car in places such as the rear diffuser, rocker panel covers, and mirror housings. If that is still not enough carbon fiber, customers are also able to request optional pieces to be replaced with carbon such as the center console cover, handbrake arm, the IP frame, handles for the doors and glove box, and the lower rim of the steering wheel.
Lamborghini is also offering a tubular roll cage, four-point harnesses, navigation system, Bluetooth, a lift system to avoid speed bumps, and a fire extinguisher (just in case). All these options of course will cost you a pretty penny. For more details, check out Automobil Lamborghini.
