Here’s the latest watch to come out of the workshops of Maximilian Busser & Friends (MB&F), in their Legacy Machine line of watches; the MB&F Legacy Machine 101. This is the third watch in the line (LM1 & LM2), this line of watches has more of a classic look than the futuristic look of the Horological Machine line of watches.
According to the Swiss watchmaker, the MB&F LM101 is the most classic looking watch in this line. The dial is pretty simple with a sub-dial for the hours and minutes, and another one below it for the 45 hour power reserve indicator. The 14mm flying balance wheel takes center stage, which gives the watch the traditional MB&F pizzazz.
Unlike the other two watches, the LM101 comes with a 40mm case vs. 44mm. The watches are offered in white gold with black dials or red gold with white dials, and feature a domed crystal. The case backs are see-through to show the intricate details of the beautiful mechanical movements. Speaking of the movement, this is the first movement developed entirely in-house by MB&F; it consists of 229 pieces and beats at 18,000 bph.
The MB&F LM101 watches will be produced in limited numbers each year, production is set at 30/year. These watches are also the most affordable MB&F watches you can buy, priced at $59,000 each. Yes, $59k is a lot of money, but these watches are relatively affordable when looking at other high-end watches from Maximilian Busser & Friends. Via: MB&F
